Centriq Company Profile

Headquartered in San Francisco, CA., Centriq was founded in January 2015 by James Sheppard and Shubber Ali. The inspiration was the simple idea that your home, the single most expensive and complicated purchase that most of us will ever make, ought to come with a user manual.

Centriq was designed to be the “user manual for your home,” creating a new program category – “product experience management”. Since releasing v2.8 and gaining more popularity late last year the platform has tripled its user base.

“Users loved our MVP, but requested an easier to use interface and the ability to access information on desktop. Responding to that need became a priority for our business, and this latest release and new features are going to help simplify ownership even further. We are excited to see how quickly users are adopting our platform and will continue to roll out new features throughout 2018.”

Centriq currently has a core team that is geographically dispersed, with a strong advisory board that includes executives from Home Depot, Salesforce, Microsoft, Dropbox and Accenture.

The CEO
James Sheppard is a two-time entrepreneur who has brought ideas to life in both the analog and digital worlds. At Centriq, James is in charge of driving the company vision, and making sure there is a strong team to make that vision a reality. He has been credited with taking the concept of a “post-purchase platform” and bringing it to market in a way that benefits both users and companies.

Before Centriq, James was a VP of Enterprise Strategy and Innovation at Salesforce, where he led a team that helped the C-suite of some of the best known brands design their customer engagement strategy. Prior to that, James built Vetrazzo, the original maker of recycled glass surface material.

He currently serves as an advisor to numerous startups and, when not thinking about business, he can likely be found doing a puppet show with his two daughters.

Supported Platforms
The Centriq product experience management platform is available for free on iOS and Android as well as via the Centriq web browser version.
