A: Is building a home inventory one of those things you KNOW you should do, but haven’t gotten around to? If you’re like most people, the answer is yes.

Centriq makes it easy to build and maintain an inventory of all the important things in your home. Beyond adding your major appliances and things with an “on” switch to Centriq, you can also add other things such as sporting and fitness equipment, watches and jewelry, artwork, and more, just by taking a photo. Once you’ve entered your items, don’t forget to add receipts or other documents about the items, like appraisals, that can help prove the value of the items in your inventory. Once you’ve built your inventory, keep it constantly up-to-date: whenever you bring anything new home, add it to Centriq right away.

**Contact us and we will send you a report of what you have added in the app including all model numbers and serial numbers. This is great for insurance reporting and your home inventory. Just send us a request at support@poweredbycentriq.com.

A: Yes! Directly through the app, you can access parts, accessories, and maintenance supplies from our preferred partners. So stop wasting time tracking down annoying details like exactly which water filter you need for your refrigerator.

Centriq provides lists of parts and supplies that are specific to your items, like air and water filters. Make fewer trips to the hardware store or simply use the “Buy” link to order online and save your Saturday for something you’d rather be doing! When you choose the “Buy” link through Centriq, you always get the same price you would if you searched online yourself – just without all the searches and typing you’d have to do on your own.

A: Don’t worry! If you provide us with enough information, we can process just about anything. We just need the manufacturer and model number. Sending a picture of the front of the item or the name of the series of the item usually isn’t enough for us to correctly identify it and provide information. We also cannot process items based on the serial number, UPC code, bar code or a QR code. A couple of common errors are:
  • Blurry or poor quality photos.
  • Partial product labels or missing model numbers.
  • Bar code only photos.

A: The items, documents, images, and other information that you have in Centriq are securely stored on a server. This means that you can access your account and see the same information on multiple devices and online. This also means that you can delete and uninstall the app, re-install, or change devices and still access it later without losing any of your information.

A: You can edit the item nickname, serial number, or other information.

To edit an Item

  1. Open the item.
  2. Click the Pencil (edit) icon.
  3. Make your changes.
  4. Click Done.
